Jama Finney, an Indianapolis-based cake designer, approached me in August of 2010 to ask if I would create her an audition video for a TLC reality show she was auditioning for.  This show was an “Apprentice-stye ” reality competition show that, if selected, would pit her up against 9 other talented cake decorators from across the country.  The winner would be selected as the new apprentice of “The Cake Boss” himself, Buddy Valastro.

This video was a blast to film, shooting everywhere from the Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and the Indianapolis Zoo.  Taking only 3 days to produce from start to finish, I had a great time creating this video for Jama despite the short timeframe.  Since this was only an audition video, I had the wonderful opportunity of experimenting with new filming and editing techniques that I otherwise would not have had the chance of using in my other video productions, namely jump cuts and quick zooms.  I look forward to working with Jama again as she continues to move forward in her cake decorating career.
