In the summer of 2011, I was asked by the Plainfield Recreation and Aquatic Center to help assist with with the production of a 2-minute contest entry video for the national PetSafe Bark for your Park contest. The winner of this competition would receive $100,000 to put towards a new dog park in their community. Needless to say, Plainfield really wanted to win so they were determined to put together a creative and memorable entry video. I was brought on board to assist Tony Perona and Rob Probus with the production of this piece and we only had a week to do it. After finalizing on a concept, Tony wrote the script while Rob shot most of the main footage with his personal camera, a Canon XL1. As for me, I played the main character of Brady and filmed some pickup shots around the town of Plainfield. I was also the lead editor and motion graphic artist for this piece, creating the final product that you see here. We unfortunately did not win the competition, but we did make it to the semi-finals which is something we were proud of.
